Written by Aaron's Mom and siblings: To all who have loved Aaron throughout his life, we want to let you know that he passed away yesterday, December 18, 2018 in the hospital, surrounded by his family. Sunday night, Aaron took a turn for the worse and was taken to the hospital. We were hopeful that he could regain his strength and come home, but it wasn't to be. Yesterday he interacted lovingly with friends, church leaders, siblings, his Sweet Lorraine, and his children. In true Aaron fashion, and with great effort, he spoke to each person, looking in their eyes, calling them by name or nickname, expressing his love and gratitude in a personal manner to each one. We wish that all of you who love him could have been there with us yesterday to witness his finest hour. He was the Aaron Thatcher we all love to the last moment, and there was an incredible outpouring from his wonderful soul. Each felt personally loved and remembered by him. In his suffering, he tutored us ...
I’m so sorry. So sorry that you have to suffer like this Aaron. Sorry that you have to stand by and watch, Lorraine. We’ll be praying for good results from the MRI.
ReplyDeleteAlways in my thoughts and prayers. Hang in there. Such a blessing we only have to do one day at a time❤️❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteAaron and Lorraine I pray that Heavenly Father will continue to take care of you. You and your wonderful family have surely lifted me up and given me strength when I have needed it. My testimony grows before I even start reading your posts. I stand amazed at all you continue to handle with out saying "I quit!". I , like your mom, would like to be like you when I grow up! My prayers are with you and your family.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought highly of Aaron. I remember a High School State basketball game. We (Mountain Crest) lost. I remember many people being upset. But Aaron stood there on the court clapping for the other team. I have never forgotten that. He is truly a great person. I use this example of good spirtsmanship with my kids. I don't know Aaron personally. But I know his character, and have always admired him. Everyone loved him in school because he was always so kind.
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired by this guy. Love him dearly. Always been such a gentle giant, and an incredible example for goodness with Christlike attributes that inspire me to be a better person. And yet with all this he's going through, still finds ways to lift others in simple, yet profound ways.
