Aaron, you opened my eyes to what life might have been like with a son instead of five daughters. I loved every minute you shared with us and will be forever grateful to your family for letting us enjoy you for a few years while you were with the Twins. One of my favorite memories besides the note was your trip down the river in our little fishing boat in Florida to try your hand at fishing. After being stopped by the game warden (I'm pretty sure you did not have a license to fish), you were able to talk yourself out of a ticket. The best part of the story is that the officer asked if you were a foreign exchange student! The fact you could not understand why we were laughing hysterically when you told us the story only underlined why he might think you were "foreign".
The Shaver family loves you as a son and a brother. You and your family are always in our prayers and with the good news of the scans today, we give thanks in those prayers for God's loving care of your family.
All my love, Cindy, Florida mom substitute, Shaver
We have a file containing all our important papers, passports, birth certificates, social security cards, church records and The Note.
My husband referenced this famous note in his story of Aaron but just so there would be no doubt of the historical accuracy of this event, I thought I would share the original as an attachment. As you can tell, our family prizes this note right up there with the most important events in the Shaver family life.
