Aaron,
As we travel through our mortal existence we receive the growth that our Heavenly Father prepared for us. All that is asked of us is that we go through it with faith and with the trust that He knows what is best for us. I know that you have experienced the ups and downs of life, such as, not being as good looking as me, not being as smart as Lorraine, and not being as awesome as your father and mother. No big deal, you climbed those hills and carried on. You can climb this hill too, and know that no matter how things turn out, this is for your best good. This is the real “beauty eh!”
I remember watching you play basketball and baseball and the joy it gave you to be able to participate in those and other activities. You always were a good sport, of course you won the games I saw, but I really feel that even when you lost, you did it with class. I remember the day I had my picture taken between you and Jeff. I was able to pull myself up so that when the picture was taken it would show me as tall as the two of you. I was never as cool as the two of you, but for that brief moment I was as tall.

You and I know that the Lord has put us here for a purpose, and if and when he preserves our life, the question we continually ask ourselves is, “what must I do with remainder of my life? and what does the Lord require of me?” Aaron, I have always loved you and admired you for the person you have been and for the person you are. My name has never been spoken over the pulpit at General Conference by an apostle, however, I haven’t heard anyone refer to that quote again in General Conference either, so maybe it wasn’t as cool as I originally thought it was. Oh, I still think you are pretty cool and that your wife and children are lucky to have someone as awesome as you. Can you still dunk a basketball?
Point of Trivia: did you know that the northern lights in Canada are caused by the fact that Canada is next door to heaven! Little known facts by Ray Anderson, Esq.
Keep the faith my dear brother, and continue to fight the hard fight!
