We are friends and relatively new neighbors of the Thatcher family. Our first real opportunity to meet Aaron came when he was kind enough to conduct the baptism of our 8 year old at our home, in the pool. Yes, a bit out of his way. It was an amazing day and Aaron's incredibly strong spirit definitely set the tone. We were so impressed by him and the way he carried himself, and how about that never ending smile! He made friends with virtually everyone there. He genuinely cared and spent time with us. We are so thankful for the service that he gave to our family that day. At the end we offered him some food which he graciously accepted. It was only when we offered some for his family as well the we learned that he had three children currently in the hospital! He carefully slipped away and we were left amazed at his charity and unselfishness. Thank you Aaron!
As Aaron's family, we think he is the greatest and we know there are many others who feel the same way. He is a friend to all and sees the best in everyone. Our Big A is truly one of a kind. Aaron has always been a healthy guy and has never smoked a day in his life. When he became sick in January, we never dreamed it was anything serious. Multiple doctors told him it was Bronchitis. By March, he and Sweet Lorraine knew it was something more serious. X-rays were alarming and the biopsy showed Adinocarcinoma Lung Cancer. He will soon begin treatment. He and Lorraine, along with Kaitlin, Maddie, David, Brigham, Ella and Lily are asking for your faith and prayers.
Such a great story. Thank you for sharing.
